Perez discusses benefits of master franchises in article

As Intero pushes forward with its master franchise opportunities, one of the key people helping with the effort has penned an article extolling the benefits of master franchising.

Jose Perez, President of PCMS Consulting, along with Intero’s executive team will lead the master franchise sales campaign. PCMS Consulting is a consulting practice focused on the growth of real estate brokerages across the country.

In the article, Perez lists several advantages of master franchising. For example, he says master franchise operations generally don’t need as many employees or as much office space than traditional real estate brokerages. He also writes that the payout can be rewarding.  

“Traditional real estate brokerages are typically valued at 3 to 4 times annual earnings for a buyout, but a successful master franchise operation can bring much higher multiples due to the long-term agreements (often up to 10 years) it holds with its franchisees.”

In today’s environment, brokerages that will survive are those that have been looking at other options than just brokerage, and some have started mortgage and title businesses or are looking at technology enhancements to improve their bottom lines, Perez said.

“Master franchising is one more potential option brokers can consider as they look to deal with the ever changing real estate brokerage landscape,” Perez wrote.

Master franchisees will have exclusive territory rights

Intero Real Estate Services is moving forward with its master franchise opportunities.

The company is ready to launch a large-scale sales campaign this summer. Through the sales effort, Intero will award master franchisees exclusive territory rights to select regions in and out of the United States.

Intero will seek partners who know what it takes to run a profitable company and who appreciate how Intero operates. Those who sign on with Intero will manage their own growth, distribution of new offices, and development of strategic alliances and strategy to recruit top managers and agents. The master franchisees also will share franchise royalty, technology, and other revenue opportunities.

Effort to expand Intero’s footprint nationally

Intero is launching a national master franchise sales effort. The move will allow successful, existing real estate companies with multiple offices to better the fiscal strength of their companies by leveraging the Intero system in their surrounding markets.

Master franchisees have more freedoms compared to typical franchisees. They lead the growth of large, exclusive territories and share franchise royalty, technology and other revenue opportunities.
